Video Scholarship Program at
BMCC Au Pair Experience 

Become a Video Scholar and Take Your Class for FREE!

We are now offering a chance to get a full scholarship for a class at BMCC's Au Pair Experience. Here’s how to apply:

What’s the Deal? We’re looking for a Video Scholar for each class. As a Video Scholar, you’ll document the class experience and share it with us! All you need to do is:

  • Capture: Take 20-30 photos and 15 unedited video clips over your class weekend, highlighting the class and the experience (anything you do during your time in class or your travel!).

  • Create: Edit a 1-minute video that captures the essence of the weekend. This video can be shared on Instagram or sent via email.

To Apply:

  1. Email aupair@bmcc.cuny.edu with the subject line: “Video Scholar | [Name of Class]” (For example, “Video Scholar | Food as Memoir”).

  2. Include 3 sample videos and 3 sample images that showcase your creativity and perspective. These can include any subject, from cityscapes and close-ups of a great cappuccino to friends at a park—anything that showcases your photography and videography skills!

  3. Provide:

    • Your Full Name

    • Your Email Address

    • Your Phone Number

    • The class and date you’re interested in (feel free to list multiple options).

Selection Process:

We’ll review all submissions and select a scholar for each class. Already signed up for the class? No worries—if chosen, you’ll be reimbursed! We recommend applying at least 4 weeks in advance of the start of class so you don’t miss out. You can look on this page to see what classes are available. You are welcome to apply as long as the class slot is listed as “available”.
